Inspired by quality musicianship and the care that goes into creating a truly great musical product, he appreciates working with people who put in the effort to sound their best and put on a memorable show. He enjoys technical music yet appreciates that simplicity in music can also be challenging to master.  He's musically driven by Inspiring others and evoking feelings he also experiences when seeing and hearing great music. 

“Dave Grohl is probably my biggest overall musical influence because of how genuine he is as a human being and the fact that he plays nearly every instrument.”  

His significant piano influences are Elton John, Billy Joel, Chuck Leavell, Bob Seger, Steven Tyler, and Axl Rose.  

His early drum influences were Joey Kramer, Matt Sorum, and Steven Adler from Aerosmith and GNR, respectively. He is currently very inspired by Todd Sucherman, who is with Styx, and the late Taylor Hawkins. Joe has learned a lot from how Morgan Rose, Sean Kinney, Stewart Copeland, and Phil Collins approach musicianship. A few inspirational guitarists he lists are James Taylor, Zac Brown, Dan Fogelberg, Charlie Starr, and Slash.

“Priscilla and I connected musically from the start when I subbed for a Far From Over gig in 2017. Since then, we've expanded to a solid offering of full band music and translated some of that, plus new additions, into an acoustic setting with guitars, piano, and vocals. I'm inspired by the world of musical options and potential paths at our fingertips with all the talent that has formed Thru The Void.”
